Tool #3 Image Generators

I am very passionate about traveling, therefore I decided to use one of Big Huge Labs handy tools, such as creating a map to display the countries I've visited:

Make yours @ BigHugeLabs.com

And I also created a slide show of my beloved Venezuela:

I can use the Big Huge Labs USA map to teach the states. The students can click on the state and the map will highlight to display its location.

The slide show can be used to teach objectives in Science and Social Studies. For example we could show important events, life cycles, even the ABC's creating a fun animation to keep the kids interested while learning.

Tool #2 PLNs and Comments

PLN will create a community where we can connect and share ideas. Communication empowers the teachers and students to express their views and find common interests, as well as finding a solution.

The community will bring us closer together and will be a key element to becoming an exemplary school.

One important point regarding the commenting advice is that you have to be careful about who you interact with in order to guarantee a safe environment. The teachers need to educate students about proper online behavior and help them become conscious of possible threats.

Tool #1

I have been working on creating my blog forever. I 'm glad I finally got it started. This is going to be an adventure. I'm sure I'll need support along the way getting through all 11 Tools.
This tool is an excellent way students can communicate with the teacher and each other. My first graders will be motivated and excited to write. This will improve their Spelling and grammer, I hope.
